It is yet another kidnapping of a Catholic priest in Nigeria. "The parish priest of San Bernardo, Idon Gida, Father Abraham Kunat, was kidnapped a few hours ago. The kidnapping took place in Saint Mulumba Kurmin Sara, in the city of Kachia lga, where Fr Kunat has been residing for some time due to the unsafe situation.
With him in 2022, 23 religious were kidnapped. Through an appeal on Twitter, the pontifical ACS foundation (Aid to the Church in Need) invokes "protection for the Nigerian church" and also disseminates the communiqué of the Catholic secretariat of Nigeria.
